Post Graduate Department of General Medicine Govt. Medical College Doda plays a central role in rendering everyday medical services. The department runs services including OPD, IPD, emergency and casualty services (24x7) CCU and ICU services. The department provides the facilities for echocardiography and Fibroscan to the patients. We have a separate dialysis unit under our department which provides facility to CKD patients 24x7. The department has got NBEM Accreditation for DNB Medicine (3 seats) and presently we have 4 postgraduate students besides MBBS and ancillary courses in Dialysis.
The department works round the clock for the improvement of patient care. The department intends to reduce the referrals from medicine by augmenting manpower and diagnostic machinery. Furthermore, increasing the bed strength of the medicine wards, ICCU (Medicine), CCU, and emergency is our utmost priority. The faculty and postgraduates are pursuing different research projects keeping in view the overall need of the community of Chenab valley.
The faculty of the medicine department is dedicated to providing the best and most comprehensive medical care to the patients in the region. We work on a holistic mission to improve overall patient care and commitment to excellence through close collaboration between our staff, our patients, and their families. We aim at training our undergraduates and postgraduates as per National and international Standards, so that these students can compete and perform in a better way at every level.
